"My doctor asked me if I wanted the test. I told him 'Why? I will birth and love my child either way.'"
One of the volunteers who is very involved in pro-life work and in coming out to pray on the sidewalk, shared her story of when she was pregnant with her precious son.
The doctor had told her that one of the tests had come back "abnormal" so she "would have a choice." She asked what he meant by abnormal. The doctor explained that her child might have down syndrome and he offered her a test.
She promptly responded, "Why? I will birth and love my child either way."
She explained that for her son, who is no longer a little boy any more, not only did not have down syndrome, but he was one of the handsomest of her children. This is one of the occurrences that made her realize the critical role she would need to hold in the pro-life movement.
May God give her group wisdom and strength in this work that continues to help save lives and bring about so many healing conversions!
UNITING WITH 40 DAYS FOR LIFE AROUND THE WORLD!
As we unite with the International 40 Days for Life and their 375 locations around the world in prayer, we pray with them a specific prayer intention and scripture verse.
Oct 11th, Day 15:
Intention: May God's people awaken to the fact that we are our brothers' keepers.
Scripture: Now Cain talked with Abel his brother; and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother and killed him. Then the Lord said to Cain, "Where is Abel your brother?" He said, "I do not know. Am I my brother's keeper?" And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground." - Genesis 4:8-10
